Fitness Ball Abs Crunches Technique Instructions

Fitness Ball Abs Crunches
Technique - Start by sitting down on the fitness ball with your feet shoulder width apart and your legs in a L-shape position. Make sure that your lower back is well supported by the fitness ball. Place your hands behind your head and interlace your fingers together. Start the exercise once you have found your balance. Inhale as you lower yourself down backwards over the fitness ball in a slow, controlled manner until you feel your abs muscle stretch. Allow the fitness ball to roll smoothly with this motion. Exhale as you raise yourself back to the starting position again allowing the fitness ball to roll with you. Squeeze your abs muscles inwards at the top of the motion and hold the position for a count of 1 whilst maintaining your balance. Do not allow any longer than a 1 count before starting the next rep as this will maintain pressure on the upper abs muscles.
