Lying Knee Raises
Technique - Start by sitting down on the floor in an area that will provide enough room to perform the exercise. Lay back onto the floor and extend your legs out straight in front of you. Place your arms flat onto the floor in a diagonal position your extra stability. You will be using both legs at the same time, start the exercise by raising the balls of your feet off the floor. Exhale as you pull both knees towards your chest in a controlled manner as far as possible. Squeeze your abs muscles inwards at the top of the motion and hold the position for a count of 1. Inhale as you lower your knees back down allowing your legs to straighten. Do not allow the balls of your feet to touch the floor or allow any longer than a 1 count before starting the next rep as this will maintain pressure on the abs muscles and increase the overall benefits of the exercise. Repeat this technique for the desired number of reps.
